WHITNEY HOUSTON'S BURIAL PLANS

WHITNEY HOUSTON is home.
A private jet carrying the pop icon's body touched down at New Jersey's Teterboro Airport at approximately 10:30 p.m., local time, according to WABC-TV

The plane, a Gulfstream III that is reportedly owned by filmmaker tyler perry, took off from California's Van Nuys airport this afternoon. Private security escorted the body to the airport, where LAPD officers were on hand for crowd control, following
its release from the L.A. County Department of Coroner.
Sadly, the next step is saying a permanent goodbye to the late, great Houston.

Several cars, including a hearse, were waiting as the small plane taxied into a hanger at Teterboro. Upon arrival, the multiplatinum-selling artist's body was taken to the Whigham Funeral Home in Houston's hometown of Newark to be prepared for interment.

While a smaller wake may take place Thursday night, a memorial service is said to be in the works for Friday at the Prudential Center arena, which seats upward of 17,000 people.

E! News has learned that Rev. Marvin Winans, who officiated at Houston and bobby brown 's wedding, is likely to preside over the funeral.
Houston was born in Newark on Aug. 9, 1953—and, while her family is not releasing any information about her final resting place yet, that appears to be where she will remain from here on out
