SHOCKING NEWS: MO'CHEDDAH PARTS WAYS WITH KNIGHT HOUSE

Nigerian pop singer Modupe-Oreoluwa Oyeyemi aka Mo’Cheddah and her management company Knighthouse have parted ways. The news was confirmed in a statement released by both parties.
‘The label is proud of what it has achieved with the act in over half a decade and we wish her very well in all her future endeavours. We will continue to support one another and make sure the relationship remains as cordial as possible’, a statement  from Knighthouse read.

A Mo’cheddah representative tells us  ’Yes I can confirm she has left Knighthouse. That’s all I can say for now’.

Mo’cheddah has also recently launched her website, there are no signs of any tie with Knighthouse as their ‘ever-present logos’ cannot be seen on the website.

The act recently celebrated her graduation party at the Hush Lounge, Ikoyi, Lagos on Friday January 27 2012 as she has completed her degree in Creative Arts at the University of Lagos.

Knighthouse is run by Rogba Arimoro who acts as C.E.O, Temi ‘Othello’ Gomez and Lanre ‘Sabre’ Oladimeji. The outfit which doubles as a management company as well as an entertainment outfit hit the scene back in 2009 after the successful release of ‘The finest’, a song which featured rappers SauceKid, Teeto Ceemos and an upcoming Mo’Cheddah.

Mo’Cheddah had however been affiliated with the management way before the 2009. The crew moved on to release their first ever compilation album titled ‘Street Scriptures Vol. 1′ a  year later.

After the release, Knighthouse focused on Mo’cheddah’s career. She released her first single ‘Censor me‘ which was well received and subsequently released her ‘Franchise Celebrity‘ which churned out the hits ‘If you want me‘, and ‘Ko ma roll‘.

She recently released another single ‘See me’ under the Knighthouse label.

Knighthouse have seem to moved on as they aren’t letting Mo’s surprise departure slow them down. They already have signed young rappers Phenom and Willy Bang as well as upcoming singer Iye (who is said to have penned Mo’s street anthem ‘Ko ma roll‘).
